Marika
Sakellariou

Architect of Spaces  ·  Curator of Homes

Marika Sakellariou brings a rare convergence of artistry, discipline, and design intelligence to Marin real estate. Across a career that has spanned professional dance, fitness, and architecture-driven property renovation, one quality has remained constant: the ability to recognize what makes something exceptional — and bring it to life.

"Her homes don't just sell. They command the highest price per square foot, because they are genuinely worth it."

An Extraordinary Foundation

Born in Athens, Greece, Marika has called Marin home for over 25 years. She founded the Marin Repertoire Dance Theatre and performed and directed across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Her mastery of her craft earned her faculty positions at Dominican College, College of Marin, UC Berkeley, and Colorado Mountain College in Aspen. The pinnacle of her dance career was her appointment as Principal Director and Choreographer for the San Francisco Opera Ballet, where she choreographed more than 40 original works.

From Movement to Space

Marika's transition into real estate was a natural evolution, not a departure. Her lifelong passion for architecture and modern design found its fullest expression in an award-winning Eichler remodel that earned her international recognition. She brought the same principles she had always applied to performance — precision, proportion, and the intelligent use of light — directly to built space.

Unmatched Client Results

Marika offers what is arguably the most comprehensive property service in Marin. Her pre-listing design and renovation program transforms properties before they ever reach the market — consistently achieving the highest price per square foot in their category. Her signature approach — architectural clarity, open floor plans, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow — draws sophisticated buyers who recognize quality and are prepared to pay for it. She serves both buyers and sellers with equal depth of expertise, maximizing outcomes on both sides of every transaction.

Community & Giving Back

Beyond real estate, Marika continues to teach ballet and fitness, travels widely, and is a passionate cook and host. She is a committed supporter of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, where she serves on the Advisory Council, helps raise the Institute's profile, and donates a portion of every real estate commission to advance its research mission.
